Icing The Cake

A fair portion of the day was spent at the wedding
reception of our friends Kathryn and
John. A much shorter amount of time was
spent in the pet store, getting a pack of Mice on Ice for the newest
member of the family, a Ball
Python who is yet nameless, but will probably be
called Kenny. I'm not sure what one event has to do
with the other, but it was an odd juxtaposition: 60
people at a backyard barbeque (complete with whole
roasted pig), pleasant conversation, merrymaking, and
toasting, then home to thaw a frozen mouse in hot
water and watch it get swallowed by a reptile. I
can't be sure its not some kind matrimonial metaphor.
